Error Getting Persistor on CI Commit

Hi,

When we create content in a standalone java utility. On committing CI, we get following error:

com.vignette.as.client.exception.ApplicationException: Error 11 (FinderError), Message 026-150-0004: Error getting the persistor

The same code has been tested before and it worked fine. The VCM environment has changed and we are executing the code against a new envrionment. We have included the sdk files (jar files) from the new environment.

Where do we start troubleshooting?

In general, we see this error when CMA jar is not in sync, can you try with wlfullclient as well?

Seems like the issue was not while committing the CI. It was with the method StaticFile.findByPlacementPath.

It throws Application exception instead of returning an empty iPagingList when the file is not found. We were expecting an empty list when the file was not found.

Hi Sohail,

I have encountered this issue while trying to access static file's placement path on delivery schema.
The code runs on mgmt schema or delivery schema. As far as I know, placement path is not available on CDS.

It is unfortunately true that an exception will be thrown by StaticFile.findByPlacementPath() when no SF is found for a specified placement path.

But it is not true that placement path is not available on a delivery stage, as it certainly is available.

I’m not really familiar with common use cases, but if for any reason you need metadata of a static file then you would need to fetch the actual StaticFile object. For example, you could have defined extensible attributes on the StaticFile object type. This combined with the fact that static files are commonly referenced by placement path gives reason to use this API method.
