customzing portlet rendering in preview

Hello Fellow WCM users,

I need your help if figuring out how to fix a issue I have stumbled on.

 

The issue is specific to portlets and how they are rendered in preview and delivery. I am pasting an example of how one of our portlets get written on a HTML page when called from preview:

As you can see there are two divs added above  MY code which I do not know how to control. This method of rending is causing the site to break. I need to be able to change the locations of the “vgn-ext-region” div to be inside of the “flexslider” div in order to display this portlet correctly on the page. Can someone provide information on how can I can do that?

I have this issue some weeks ago. But it’s not issue.

If I understood your question, of course.

 

On a jsp file which renders page (pagelayout component) I use this code:

 

<%

String displayInContextEdit = "false";

    if (ConfigUtil.isPreview()) {

        displayInContextEdit = "true";

    }

%>

……….

 

<templating:contentRegion name="REGION_NAME" scope="page" displayInContextEdit="<%=displayInContextEdit%>" />

……….

 

So, After publishing On a production stage I see html code without double <div>.

 

May be this code snippet will help you.
