[WEM 8.1]How to reload the parent page content if we close a child page? No inputs yet, can anybody

Hi,

We have some customized workflow related page and they have links link to content edit form, user may need to do revision/correction for the content and proceed the workflow. When they save the content change in the input form and close the window which opened from the workflow page, the workflow page need to reload to reflect the changs.

 

As we want to migrate to V8, we want the input form links to v8 content console form instead of linking to app console form. We have changed the link url and it's working, the problem is after saving the content and closing the window, the parent page is not automatically reloading. And We haven't found a good way to make it. Can you please advise?  Thanks.

Add some details for this issue, we build a customized jsp(ex:policytaskeditor.war\WebContent\GPMTaskEditor.jsp,attached) for workflow tasks on V7. In the jsp page, user able to click a link on the page and open a pop-up window to edit content details and after the changes are saved, the workflow page automatically refresh to load the latest content. Now we have migrated to V8 and want the pop-up editing window go to content console instead of going to app console. When I change the link url in the GPMTaskEditor.jsp, the refresh is not working. The question should be how to make the reloadCMD() OOTB function work in the GPMTaskEditor.jsp.
