A document typically does not have values in its AdditionalProperties unless you have explicitly added some. The AdditionalProperties collection is a set of name-value pairs and they are not searchable.

On the other hand, if you are searching for documents by their profile values, their metadata, then you can populate the IManProfileSearchParameters collection with search values then call the SearchDocuments (Session/Database) Method to return the results.

Actually, i need to store more meta data information about the document. since the custom properties are not sufficient, i went to store the information in Additional properties.

But i need to search the document based on these meta data.

Can any other way that we can store meta data information, and we can search on these data?

Other than custom fields, no.

If it's viable, you may search for the documents somehow by some common profile values then iterate through the AdditionalProperties collection of each returned document to match your search nvps.
