How to give Read-Only access to the folder?

Hi,

I am working with WorkSite web 8.2.
I have created workspace and added two user1 and user2 to the workspace.
User1 and User2 are given with Read-only access to the workspace. But still user is able to import document to the folder. security of the folder shows that user1 and user2 have Read-Only access to the folder.

How i can prevent the user1 and user2 to import document. i need user1 and user2 can read the documents in the folder, but they should not import document to the folder. And this condition should be applicable to this workspace only but for other workspaces they can import the document.

Can any one give me suggession to solve this issue.

Hi Saravana, is the default security of the folder "Public"?

I'm not sure but as it is an optimistic security model, as it is public the user can impor documents, it should be "view" or "private" for read-only features.

Not sure of this... I haven't test

Is the user you are connecting for testing the owner of the folder? Did you created the folder with this user?

In this case, as it is the owner, even if you asign other permissions it will have full control over the container.

Yes... u are right...

i checked with the owner only.. so only i am able to upload the document.
i checked with other user. he is unable to import the document..
