Hi,

Is it possible to deploy the values(of DCRs) from two different DCTs(having a primary & foreign key relation)within the same workarea, to two different tables?

If anyone of you know how to proceed, please reply back.

Have you figured out how to do each, separately, yet?
If not, I suggest you start there - then spend some time thinking about it and you should be able to do both of them together (probably using filters)

I tried with the same. But the values from two DCTs, gets deployed as two different rows in the two tables.

ie I am not able to filter it out, like a particular DCT(R) to a particular table. How to use the filters to do this and which filter will be the suitable one?

Let's start with a clearer description of your issue. Givens (I believe):

Perhaps you can provide some examples of a snippet of DCR content from DCR-type-A and DCR-type-B and their respective target specification for the DB table(s) - and then what you've tried doing in your DD configuration file.

Your assumption is correct. I have DCRs of two different DCT types & have two different tables.

There is 1:1 mapping between DCT & tables. Contents of one DCT(R) goes to one and the content of another DCT(R) goes to other table.

I added two source path in ddconfig xml file as,

visit-directory = "deep" />

visit-directory = "shallow" />

and created two tables with primary & foreign key relations.

Is it possible to implement it?

I am not sure if filters would be handy here. You can start by looking at pre-processors which can merge the two dcr's on the fly when the deployment is invoked.

Another option which might be easier, is to have 2 seperate deployment configurations and call them one after another using DNRjob or something to that effect.

I believe you should create two definitions, each with a filter based on the DCR type - and exec both of these definitions from a single 'master' definition in the same configuration file. Each definition would have its own dbschema configuration, as each definition is responsible for mapping the contents of each specific DCR type to a specific database table.
