DCT page display

Hi All,

Thanks for the response. I am having a requirement in sucha way that on loading the DCT, the bottom 50% of the browser should display the calling URL(www.yahoo.com). So the browser would display 50% dct and 50% Yahoo.com. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Just to be clear - you're saying that you want an Edit DCR window in which the top-half is the DCT form and the bottom-half is a live web page?

I don't think that's supported, though I imagine it might be able to be accomplished through some form of hack (like somehow inserting a new frame into the DCT form and populating that frame with the contents of a URL ?) but before we waste too much bandwidth on how one might accomplish this - perhaps you can provide a bit more detail about why you want to accomplish this?

Ok, here is why I need that kind of feature.

I have a .net app, which should be called while opening the DCT (File-New form entry). The .net page would be displayed in the lower portion of the browser (giving the flexibility for the .net app to use the functions inside the DCT). Does this throw some light? The actual requirement is a big one.

If you really really must do this, it is likely going to be difficult.

Your original thought won't work, you need to build a page with multiple frames, one being the DCR edit window. The second being the actual page you want to view. That itself should not be too tough. However insuring that the DCR works perfectly inside a frame may not be trivial. It *should* work, but you are in uncharted waters.

I did something like the following once, using iFrame and well-known "Container Label" Hack.
That's easy, make this arrangement to do something useful is much harder. Andy gave you a good advise.
Use documented/supported CGI Callout instead
