Calling SOAP / Web Service from IW

Is there a module built into the iwperl that handles or works with SOAP and Web Services?

If not, does anyone have a recommendation of one to use?

It looks like SOAP::Lite is already included.

I'm not sure if this was included in iwperl, or if it was installed at a later time, but it looks like I'm good to go.

This is my first time calling a webservice from perl.

From what I'm seeing, it's sounding like SOAP:WSDL might be a better package to use to connect to a .NET wsdl webservice.

Do I go about installing this, or is there a module already built into iwperl that could do the same?

Looking on 6.7.2SP1 - I don't see this module (SOAP::WSDL), so my guess is you'll have to download/build it yourself - search the forums and you'll (hopefully) find a number of threads that deal with the various issues involved in adding modules to iwperl (especially on Windows). Good luck.

Not that I won't or can't do it, I'd just prefer not to if there was already something already built in that I could use.

There is WSDL support for CSSDK. I've never seen a reference to it for OOTB TS iwperl (it may be there though I doubt it)

I have the 671 modules on my laptop - I just did a quick grep through all the files (case-insensitive) looking for "wsdl" and nothing showed up - so I think it's reasonably safe to say that there's nothing OOTB as far as Perl is concerned. (I haven't checked the 672SP1 modules yet, but I don't think they've changed)
