Issue with appropriate content contributor capabilities

Hi All,

Created a role for content contributor of a site, assigning the appropriate capabilties specified in the Vignette Content Admin Guide 8.0 and mapped a group with users so that those users could create content.

But when logged in with the user credentials present in the group related to the newly created content contributor role, we are not able to create content from AppConsole and also the "New Content" button is not getting enabled in content workspace.

Do we need any other capabilities to be added in order to create content?

Can anyone please suggest a fix?

Hi,

I think you missed to associate the newly created group to the site. Given below are the steps:

<![if !supportLists]>1. <![endif]>Login into the AppConsole as an administrator.

<![if !supportLists]>2. <![endif]>Go to Site Properties.

<![if !supportLists]>3. <![endif]>Click on the Security Tab.

<![if !supportLists]>4. <![endif]>Add the group to the site.

Now, try creating content with the user in the group. It should work.

Also make sure that you have added CTD read/write capabilities in the role.
