DCT interaction with Component

sazzct

I have a need for a DCT (new or existing) opened through a component to be able to access information about the component and possibly even from other DCTs/components on the page.

Has anyone else had this need? and if so, has anyone come up with a solution?

are you trying to open a template from new template element...

like clicking on edit button allows you to create/edit a new template?
