Is there a way to trigger a listener when a category is created/modified?

When a category is created, we would like to create a content item of a CTD.

Unfortunately no, as categories are not “regular” managed objects hence do not trigger the same events as other objects. I guess a DB-level trigger is an option… (to emulate the event listening mechanism)
