Hi There,

I am trying to use the following options in the tpl to get the comments of a task to print it the email, but its printing all comments with the successor description as the last comment.

My requirement is to print the last comment that user enter in the task before triggering the email notification.

my $last_comment = (@comments ? $comments[$#comments] : undef);
my $list="reverse iwpt_dcr_list('dcr.workflowinformation.task[0].comments.comment')

Any clue to get the latest comment on the task?

Well - first, we have no idea how

@comments

was populated, so it is difficult for us to assist you with that.
Second - the lack of white-space surrounding the

in the second line is potentially problematic, and the

double-quotes following prior to the

reverse

is definitely a syntactic error, along with the missing

;

at the end of the line.
In addition to the above it might help to know what you are getting in the code, and perhaps a dump of the XML being processed.

I get the last comment in 2 ways:

1. my @comments = iwpt_dcr_list('email_task.comments.comment');
my $last_comment = (@comments ? $comments[$#comments] : undef);

In both the cases the last comment comes wiith successor description of the task, but I am expecting the comments entered by the user in the task.

If you enable debugging in iw_solution_email.ipl - you'll get a dump of the workflow XML that your PT is processing - as I don't have access to that, you would need to post that too.
If memory serves correctly, $last_comment would be a reference to a hash and not the comment.

Again -

iter

references a structure not a value - so the above doesn't really make sense as far as I can see.
