Custom Page Layout doesn't appear to be working (DPM 8.0)

Hi,

I'm trying to use a custom Page Layout with DPM 8.0. I'm just trying to use the Sample Site for the custom layout. In the grid, I've added the line:

<page:include-page urlContext="/vgn-ext-templating" pagePath="/in_line/pageLayout.jsp"/>

In the channel, I see that when I select the custom Page Layout, it is selected in the Page Presentation tab. However, when I try to render the page, it is using the defaultPageLayout.jsp rather than my custom jsp.

Any ideas?

Hi Eric, if I remember correctly, the Sample Site page layouts rely on associated CSS files that need to be included as well (I think they are part of the sample Themes). Are you really sure it’s defaultPageLayout.jsp that gets executed? (what you are doing should work)

Hi Bertrand,

Yeah, I added a bunch of test text in the defaultPageLayout.jsp and also to the pageLayout1.jsp of the sample site. I only see the comments from the defaultPageLayout. Unfortunately, it seems that when I select a Theme, the same thing is happening there as well. It appears in the Page Presentation that it's linked, but I don't see anything in the page source that indicates that the theme was included.

Ok, the only reasonable explanation that comes to mind is that it’s not the grid that you updated that gets executed. Can you add tracing comments in the grid jsp as well?
