Select Box Question

I create an array of options inside perl script, this array is returned to my javascript and I try to populate my select box field using setOptions. The array is built as follows:

$level2Options .= "level2[" . $i . "] = new Option('Select Level','SelectLevel', false, false);\n";

When I return and run setOptions if the first index in the aray (0) is set to selected = true, the very last option in the array is the selected value. On some fields this works successfully......How can the selected value be changed or how is the array being altered to result in the incorrect item being chosen?

Any help would be appreciated.

Instead of false, false, change one of them to true (I cannot remember off hand which is the selected). Something like:

new Option('Select Level','SelectLevel', true, false);
