Generating multiple html using xslt

Hi

I have written xslt to generate multiple html pages, using xalan process - redirect:write.

The xslt is working just fine and creating multiple html files. But the issue I encoutered, it is not able to write to my workarea even when I passed the vpath information.

I can able to create these files on different directory.../Interwoven/Teamsite/myfile/.

I am able to generate and save one html file with dcr and xslt into my workarea(in this case not using redirect:write)

Please provide me with any valuable suggestions to fix this issue.

There's at least one thing wrong with that path - you don't specify the workarea-name - it should be "

.../WORKAREA[color=red]/wa-name/filename[/color]

Beyond that - are you on Unix or Windows?
If Unix, that path will probably work as

/default

is usually a symlink to

/iwmnt/default

, however on Windows, you would need to use

Y:/default/...

I'm interested in how this turns out - even more so if you figure out how to set the EA's on the other generated files via the XSLT (something that was possible in the PTs since one could invoke iwextattr from there fairly easily)

Our environment is unix and I tried correcting the path settings to save generated files, without luck.

You might have to look through a bunch of log files to see if anything relevant gets logged when it fails. My guess would be some sort of permissions error assuming that the directive is written correctly.

I have gone through the log file under /Interwoven/TeamSite/local/logs/ and also /Interwoven/TeamSite/local/logs/iwui folders.

Is there any other places, I have to look.

On unix, /default folder have only read and execute permissions for owner and group....

In a normal scenario, what permissions we should give to /default and /default/main folders.

I am just opening the dcr and click on the preview button to call my presentation template to generate the html files. I can able to rewrite these files to my home/rkond directory. This directory got read, write and execute permissions for everyone. When it generating the html files based on the user name "iwui"

Have you only tried Preview or also Generate where you specify the output file?

And is "iwui" in the groups owning the directories your are pointing your generation to?
