Has anyone created a script to create an edition from staging from a year ago, for example (Feb.08/2007). What CLT and parameters were used? Thanks.

clt is iwpublish but what do you mean by creating edition from an year ago.. If you mean getting versions of files from an year ago and then publishing an edition from it ...it will be step by step

First - Create two workareas, Get latest on both.. 1st workarea, For each file revert to a version from year ago.. Submit to Staging, Publish Edition..

2nd workarea - Now submit to Staging again

"Custom Script" I would like to hear as how is your logic behind doing this?

Just to give you a Idea, it might not be a really accurate content in that point of time. there are several factors here, first and foremost being all the content on Feb 08/2007 should have been submitted (Without Exceptions).

It is easy to scan through all the versions and get the date and create edition from there, but how sure are you that your content is there at that point of time.

The only thing you can do somewhat easily would be to write a script to make a mapping of the hidden editions (which are created every time something is submitted) to the specific day it was made. You will need some logic to determine which edition to use if there are mulitple editions during that day as well as for days that no editions (read submits) were made.

Then you need to figure out an easy way to get to a specific hidden edition, either through a custom app/browser or a manual process.
