Reading DCT Dropdown Labels in TPL

Hi,
I have a requirement to Read both Label and Value of DCT Dropdown in TPL and generate an XML with those values.
I couldnot find a TAG Lib in TPL to retrieve the LABEL of the dropdown.

I'm looking to implement alternate way using FormAPI populate a hidden field with the LABEL and read the field in the TPL.

If you know direct way of reading the LABEL of a DROPDOWN in TPL, Please help me out...

There is no direct way. You may like to use some Perl with DCRNode in your TPL..

You can read the DCT (as was suggested eariler) unless, of course, the list is dynamic (say read from the DB). Then you need a hidden list and lots of formapi to keep them in sync.
