VILT Motion is a powerful and innovative application that simplifies the tasks of moving content to Web Experience Management (WEM) from Vignette Content Management (VCM) and earlier versions of WEM. It makes it easier and less costly to upgrade to WEM 8.5, as well as keep multiple instances of WEM synchronized on an operational basis.
VILT Motion is a new application designed to overcome the limitation of migration scripts previously used to move content between WEM instances. The tool is highly extensible, providing a framework so that different connectors can be used to establish the link between Vignette VCM 6, Vignette VCM 7 and OpenText WEM content repositories. The VILT motion engine does not connect directly to content repositories, using instead a set of lightweight connectors that target specific platforms using a simple communication interface.
