displaying Hierarchial List in DCT

Requirement-
To display a hierarchial structure in DCT template and let user to choose items from it.

Current Way of Doing-
We are implementing tk::Hlist in order to get the hierarchial list in the form and using callout to call ipl file(that generates Hlist). I put the ipl file in "httpd/iw-bin", but it is showing the "internal server error" in a window which gets opened when we click the callout button.

Request-
I would appreciate If somebody can provide solution to it or suggest some way to display an item as a tree like structure in the DCT template provided tree items are coming from XML file.

another probable explanation is a programming error in the IPL code. Does it compile correctly? e.g. with "perl -c yourfile.ipl"

In my experience, most often the "internal server error" is an indication that some part of the code is sending output to STDOUT before the content-type statement. E.g. use:

use strict;
use warnings;
use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser);
# other use statements
print qq(content-type: text/html\n\n);
# rest of code
