Vignette 7.6 EditLive upgrade

Is it possible to upgrade the Ephox EditLive component of a Vignette7.6 install to EditLive7.x?

Vignette7.6 comes bundled with EditLive6.7

Customer required Chrome support which requires EditLive7.x

EditLive7.x will probably break the inline link widget. If they want to use Chrome they should upgrade to a VCM/WEM version which supports Chrome....
