IWOV Records: Howis the SID generated on the ACL_LIB_SECURITY_POLICY table?

Hello,

I am trying to figure out how the SID on the ACL_LIB_SECURITY_POLICY table is generated. Everytime I create a security policy the SID is incremented by one but not based on the MAX SID on the table. It seems it keeps a counter somewhere but I am unable to find it. Any ideas?

Yes, we keep a counter somewhere else. Is there a specific problem you are trying to address?

Hello,

The original problem is that we are trying to automate the creation of membership policies from outside IWOV Records. By not having access to this counter it makes it impossible to us to do this without resorting to nasty work arounds (leave a gap between the SIDs we generate and the ones IWOV will generate).

Direct modification of the DB is not supported. You must use the APIs or the data loader for this purpose.

By going directly to the DB, there is a VERY high risk of corrupting the DB and we will not be able to help you when things go wrong.
