Facing problems with setValue of radio button

I m using teamsite version 6.7.1
i m setting the default value of radio button in dct and further setting in the js also on some itemchange function in the below manner
" IWDatacapture.getItem(parent+"/overrideTitle").setValue(1);"
This works fine on creation of dcr,but it gives problem on edit mode of dcr.js hangs on this line.

Is there any other way of setting some deafult valur for radio button in js?Please suggest.

Why would you want to set the default value for a radio-button via FormAPI - on Edit?

Perhaps if this were part of an onReplicantAdded event trigger, yes - but that's about the only reason I can think of.

Beyond that, the snippet of code you provided does not provide sufficient context to assist you in debugging the problem. If you cannot figure it out by yourself (via alerts() perhaps) - you will need to post more details and context.
