Hi,

What's happening while delete the file from workarea?
Because It's changing the file group from Branch specific to global group.

I need to know how to control the group change while deleting the file. It's happening before submit the file to staging area.

Please advise.

What version of TS (including service pack and patch information)?

Version: Interwoven TeamSite 6.7.1 Service Pack 1
Build Number: 68040

What platform / OS is TS running on?
Solaris 10.

What do you mean by "changing the file group from Branch specific to global group"?

We have teamsite group for each branch. (ex- United States for US branch and wokarea)

The file is there in CMS, the file group is "United States", If I delete it will get change to iwglobal (this the unix global group).

Think It will help you to understand my situation.

I still don't understand your question. If you delete the file, it shouldn't be there anymore? So nobody should own the file afterwards.

Are you comparing what you see in the GUI with what you see in the file system (from a shell)? If so - it will always show "iwglobal' from the shell - so that doesn't mean there's a problem.

If you're looking at the results completely from within the GUI and you're saying that in the GUI when you delete a file in the workarea that the GUI shows the deletion as being group-owned as "iwglobal" - that sounds like it could be a bug, though I'm somewhat skeptical that this is what is happening.

Since you're on Unix - you could try making sure that all the workarea directories and sub-directories have the setgid bit set (chmod g+s) which should make sure that any files or directories created (or deleted?) within those directories maintain the same group ownership - regardless of the user's primary group. I have no idea if this would resolve the issue you think you're seeing - since I don't really know what you're looking at when you say the group changed.
