Hello,
How do I query for the simple attributes of a file like the file name, modification date, etc.?
Unfortunately, the API does not provide constants for these attributes.

Hi,

If i understand your question, you just need the file attributes. You can get the CSFile object and than all attributes.

There is a CSSimpleFile object as well.

Thanks for the quick answer.
In fact, I want to perform searches, with constraints on the file name or any other simple file attribute.
Unfortunately, issuing such a query always returns NULL.

You can use the "CSFieldConstraint" with a CSOperator and a field name and a string, or another Constraint such as a CSContainsAllConstraint.

But what I cannot figure out is what format the "Date" object should have. Should it be a Java Date Object, or a String with a "dd MMM yyyy" format?

Use the CSDir class and the following methods

CSIterator getFiles(int fileTypes, CSSortKey[] sortKeys, int fileTypesForNameRegex, java.lang.String nameRegex, int offset, int maxElements)
Gets an iterator over all the files in this directory that satisfy the provided criteria.

CSIterator getFiles(java.lang.String query, int offset, int maxElements)
Gets an iterator over all the files in this directory satisfying the constraints in the given query. The query string includes the full set of attributes, predicates, and sort keys.
