Permission to one file only

is it possible to grant permission on one specific file, the user would have edit on that file only.

Sure, *anything* is possble. How would you do it ? A few approaches. Make a 1 file branch. That is the easiest. You can also have a workarea that thsi user has access to (with other objects) and use different groups to manage the permissions. Finally you can enforce it in workflow.

Your use case and environment are not specific enough to be able to judge the best approach, but a new branch is the easiest.

We are using TeamSite 6.7.2.0 on windows server 2003

To be more specific, we have a branch, that contains multiple workarea. In those workarea we have multiple folders. What I would like to do is give edit permission to a user on one specific file in a specific folder.

That folder contains more than one files and I don't want that user to have permission on the other files.
