Converting psd to eps with clipping path preserved
atish
Hi,
Currently in mediabin when you convert a psd to an eps, the clipping path is lost. We have an urgent and critical requirement to provide this conversion along with the clipping path.
Does anyone have any experience with creating a mediabin task using AGS to realise this?
Or any other pointers?
Thanks for your help

On investigation Photoshop does more than simply preserve a clipping path which is stored in the "resource blob" associated with many file types. This field is preserved by MediaBin. Unfortunately they also take the path data which is expressed in a particular format (as a series of control points on a spline) and convert it to Postscript instructions which effectively implement the clipping path. Unfortunately this conversion is currently out of scope.
However, it may be possible to make the AGS Encoder do what you are looking for. I have not been able to explore but it is worth looking into.
Cheers,
Lyman Hurd
