eventsubsytem issue

Hi

Recently i installed teamsite 6.7.1 successfully for the first time on windows machine ,now i want to configure event subsystem to track events but i am facing some issue

i followed the steps given on page 54 under the topic "Configuring Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for Use with the Event Subsystem"(admin pdf) but then event subsytem is not getting started and also after executing 9th step it given following message "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:

/Program Files/Inte
rwoven/TeamSite/eventsubsystem/lib/sqljdbc/jar"

also ,what exactly is purpose of event subsytem,pdf doesnt given any clear answer apart from hinting that its used for tracking events but arent log files doing the same thing so why we need to create a DB seperately for this thing ,i am sure this is really basic stuff but i am a bit newbie in this context

i had downloaded sqljdbc.jar from net and i am attaching my jmsconfignew.xml for reference.

looking forward for some guidance from experts

In your attached

jmsconfignew.xml

file user and password value is blank. It should be given as correct DB user and password.
One thing more i would suggest to download the latest

SQLSERVER

driver from Microsoft site and keep it at appropriate place.

Is there a way to configure the event subsystem to only publish messages for 1 of the 3 consumers? We are only using DDsub, not using Reporting or Search, I can't find anything in any of the documentation about telling the publishing part of the event sub system to only publish certain types of events and not all 3.

Can this be configured? Or if you have the event subsystem on, you just have to deal with all 3 event types being published and rely on the expiretimeindays configuration setting to purge messages of types you don't care about?
