Well - could be that you're not in one of those stores or in the main/music branch of one of those stores - or you could be missing the templatedata/category/songs/ directory or datacapture.cfg within that directory or data/ and/or presentation/ sub-directories

According to your specification - it will create a file with the extension .jsp - not .html. Of course that's just the file extension - the insides could be anything - that's completely dependent upon how songs.tpl was written.

If in templating.cfg, data-type is configured for all branches as below, then I can control it by placing the data-type in required branches and vice versa If I have datacapture.cfg present in all the branches, still I can make it available for only one branch by configuring that branch in the templating.cfg

Yes. <locations> Tag on any level may contain multiple <branch> Sub-tags. Take a look at [post=118935]this[/post] post for some discussion, samples etc
