Scheduling ControlHub jobs

We currently use CH 2.1 and have a perl script that allows us to schedule jobs using variables (such as date). This script uses the iwwft_compile.ipl to instantiate the job. I am trying to determine if anyone has been successful doing this with CH 3.0.1. I do not believe that we can use the GUI scheduler because of the date variable. Any assistance would be appreciated.

In 3.0.1, if you don't want to use the OOTB Job Scheduler, you can still use your custom perl script and trigger iwmodelch -> Equivalent of iwjobvariable in ControlHub 3.0.1
