Should AWE Enabled in SQL

We have MediaBin running on an 8 processor Windows 2003 SP1 and 6 GB of RAM with SQL Server 2000. Should we enable AWE for the SQL Server Memory Configuration?

Is this a 32-bit system or 64?

The quick answer would be "yes" but I am researching this particular combination. Have you given any though to using SQL 2005? It gives generally better performance.

Yes, you need to enable AWE in order for SQL Server to use more than 2GB of memory.
