Selective content submission

Hi,

we are using a custom workflow (with some external tasks) to push content to staging (then to web server). Is there any way by which we can filter out specific folders from submission?

For example, as you see below, a sample folder structure where we have sub-folders named _bk, _notes underneath each main folder created. Unfortunately, these folders are created, automatically, by some tool (dreamweaver contribute).

So if the user submits the 'Technology' folder, the workflow should submit all of the content under its hierarchy but exclude bk, notes folders entirely and the exclusion rule should work for sub-folders as well. Is there anyway we can restrict in scripts or configuration of teamsite/opendeploy?

There are a few ways to approach this. The best is probably marking them as private files (either through the GUI or the autoprivate.cfg file)


Other options would be to use an external task to remove files from the job. You cannot use available_templates.cfg to filter it out. There *was* an undocumented feature in the 5.x range where you could use the branch list to dosomething like that, but no more.
