number of CPUs in license file

Hello,

I got a little bit confused while generating a new TS license.
The license generator for 'TS 6.5 SP2 and later' asks for number of "processing cores". Does "processing core" mean number of CPUs or do I have to count the cores of a CPU? We have two CPUs which are Dual-Core CPUs.

I figured out that enabling the option "Hyperthreading" results in a license file, that contains an entry "CPU" with twice the number entered for "processing cores".

In my current configuration, using the command tslicinfo outputs, that there are 4 CPUs. Does that mean, that I have 2 CPUs with 2 Cores?

In general - I believe you've figured it out - however - when you have questions about how to properly generate a license for your server - you should contact Support - as they can provide an official response that should prevent you from being out-of-compliance.
