I am using Visual format editor in the DCR and is trying to print the value in the visual format editor using the following xsl statement :

I am still able to see the html tags like :
[html]

text 1
text 2

[/html]
Can some one has a fix for this?

I think you'll have to post a sample DCR along with the XSLT PT in order for anyone to have a chance to re-create the problem, in order for them to suggest a verified resolution.
