We're looking at converting TPL files to XSL files because of the limitation of Interwoven's LDAP implementation.

This is what I currently know. Need to revise all the TPL files w/in the ../templatedata//presentation/ directory.

What other files do I need to revise ?

You will also need to modify the templating.cfg to specify that you are using the XSLT compiler rather than the default Perl-based PT compiler. It's documented in the manuals...

Thanks. I've also read that the DCR files will have to change. Is that true ?

I'm not sure about that. It's possible that you might need to use "xml" style DCRs instead of "iwov" style - but frankly I think you should be able to use either (though I believe "xml" style is easier / better).

Beyond that I'm not aware of any DCT / DCR changes being required.

You don't have to change the DCR format. We currently are using XSLTs with the "iwov" format DCRs. It's valid xml. The only thing is that the XPath expressions in the XSLTs can get a bit messy with the "iwov" format.

There is a bug in 6.7.1 SP1 that the XSLTPTComplie only works when it's set at the Global level. The bug is addressed in the 6.7.2.
