Standard ui and work in progress portlet

Hi all,

In our setup we have the output files (htm) automatically generate after a person edits the dcr and saves it. The output name is the same as the dcr but with the .htm extension.

The problem is that the auto generation of this output file assigns SYSTEM to the modified column for that file. This means that the output then does not appear in the "work in progress" portlet (although the DCR does) list of files because it wasn't modified by that user but by the SYSTEM.

How do you go about so that the user who is logged in and who initiated the save of the dcr is also assigned as the modifier of the output file (after it has been autogenerated) rather than by the SYSTEM?

I assume you're using a FormAPI callServer() script to perform the page generation - yes?
If so - have you tried to preface the name of the script, in the URL, with

iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/

? (as in

/iw-bin/iw_cgi_wrapper.cgi/your_script.ipl

)
You might also have to play around with the iwutild.cfg and/or iw.cfg file (settings regarding impersonation)
