Sitepublisher over-riding HTML form info

cbleau

I have an inline HTML form being referenced inside a SitePub component. When the SitePub page is rendered in the Preview mode, the parameters that I have set are being overridden by SitePublisher...in particular the 'action' parameter. Is there a way to over-ride how SitePub renders HTML markup? This is really a poor feature (if there's no workaround), in particular when form behavior in managed on the client-side with Javascript.

Which version?

In 3.1: you can do following:

<form type="External" action="$SUBMIT_URL[myparam1=1&myparam2=2&ect]" ...>

Before 3.1 it's not easy at all since you have to manually form the action

Just a guess:

<form type="External" action="$PAGE_LINK[mypagename]?componentId={whatever this component ID is}" ...>

As you can see, before 3.1 there was no easy way to do it without knowing the page and componentId which makes it sensitive to renames and also makes the components not usable in templates. If you have .1 have you tried adding hidden form fields?

In 3.1 $SUBMIT_URL token does the work for you by selecting the correct page and adding the correct component id and allowing you to add extra parameters to the form.
