Work Flow | Attache Files from Different Work Areas to Work flow

We have a requirement , linking multiple files from multiple workareas on the workflow task. As we know files from only one workarea can be attached to the task. That is the workarea from which the workflow is invoked. but we need to add files from multiple workareas to the workflow.

Is that possible and what could be the approach doing so ?

Please Advice ....

Provide "browse" functionality on your Workflow's instantiation screen to pick and add files from multiple workareas, attach them and fire the wft job. I haven't tried it for multiple workareas but I think it should be doable.

What you want to do is not supported OOTB. You have few options here. You may for example instantiate a Job which Tasks have different
"areavpath" attributes or you can modify single Task's areavpath "on the fly" processing only relevant subset of the attached Files or
perhaps create custom File List somewhere and maintain it yourself, etc

Take a look at [thread=28642]this[/thread] thread for some discussion and explanations. It is certainly possible to create WFs operating over multiple Areas. It requires
careful considerations though with "Is it worth the efforts?" being on the top of the list
