I'm using dialog element in my DCT to show a button next to different items. This is contained insided a replicant as shown in below code:

And the JS function being called on click onf button:

 }

It functions allright in the first instance of the replicant. But as I add more instances, the button doesn't function.

Any help? Is it a bug in TeamSite??

Well, this is clearly a customized implementation - but unfortunately, you left out one crucial piece of information needed to help you:

How do you call / register openPreview within your FormAPI code.

This dialog element is introduced in TS 6.7.1 (i guess). Previously, it is used for mediabin or worksite connectors. But if type is given as 'button' it just shows a button and in its function attribute, name of a JS function can be specified.

Please re-read my post - the question here is how the FormAPI code you posted was registered / called - not how you used the dialog element in the DCT.

And yes, as far as I know dialog elements were (are?) only intended for usage with MediaBin and WorkSite connectors, though I'm not sure there's any reason why they couldn't be used as you are trying to do so (there might be, I just don't know)

Whoops - I just re-read the post again - now I see you're calling it directly from the element in the DCT itself. I have no idea if this is supported - you're dancing on the bleeding edge here - and I don't have time to experiment with the same.

This is well documented in the Teamsite 6.7.1 FormsPublisher Dev Guide.

I guess this is a bug in TeamSite that it doesn't function if present in replicants.

Hmm - well what isn't clear is whether the extensions (such as function) are for non-ECM implementations. For that you'd probably need to contact Support to get a clarification of the documentation.

Also - From what I can tell, 6.7.1 did not have this extensions, 6.7.1SP1 did.
You said you were using 6.7.1 -- is it the base version or the SPx version?

(The 6.7.1 [base] doc bundle still seems to have the 6.7.0 FPDev Guide, it didn't [seem to] get rev'd until SP1)

I didn't get any solution for dialog element. Seems like a bug in TeamSite. But I got a workaround to that. Instead of dialog element I used callout as in example:

Cool. Through Callout implementation is working fine. But the user needs in Dialog Button Format. Lets see. Thanks your inputs.
