In-Context editing controls adding extra space to the page

Chandra_Kanth_Ramireddy

Hi,

I am trying to build our first site on WEM 8.5.  following DIVs add an extra space in the preview mode:

<div vgnextregionid="6fa2a6b28ddd2410VgnVCM100000e92fc10aRCRD" vgnextregiontypes="VgnExtChannelNavComponent" vgnextregionscope="template" vgnextregionname="Top Navigation" class="vgn-ext-region" id="vext-gen1046">

Through Firebug found that following class is adding the space:

.vgn-ext-region {

     min-height : 56px ;

     min-width : 52px ;

     position : relative ;

     word-wrap : break-word ;

}

And when I disable the min-height attribute, my page renders as expected.

Any idea why this is happening?

Thanks,

Chandrakanth

Are you perchance using DPM? I had similar issues because I inadvertently defined two body tags (once in the portal grid and another in the WEM Page Layout). Once I removed the body tag from the grid it was fine.

I see that this is a rendered fragment but can you take a look at how you're instantiating this region? Are you using RegionFragmentMap in the layout or template jsp? Is this region defined on the template or on the portal page? And also take a look at your theme and make sure you're using the page layout tag in your grid or template jsp.
