Custom Menu CGI callout problem!

Hello all ,

I am using TS 6.5 Version, with Windows Server 2003 SP2, I made a custom menu named "content migation" under the file menu , made an entry for this inthe ui_custom.xml file and did all the necessary build stuffs using the make_toolkit.ipl.

Now when i make a call to the cgi file ( mapped to the custom menu ) is not working instead showing the ERROR 404 message.

what could be wrong ,please guide me if i missed anything.

All things looks fine except a little typing mistake in cgi file.

[PHP]perint << END

instead of print[/PHP]

It might be problem with calling cgi script.

Agree with what Faizi said . i would also add


print "Content-type: text/html\n\n";

as it give 500 error sometimes when u dont add this line

Did you try compiling the cgi script?

iwperl -c <scriptName>

Try to use the following url within your link definition:

url="/iw-bin/wdpro_menu.ipl/sample.cgi"

your file is not a cgi but rather a perl script. in Windows, as far as I remember, there used to be a generic cgi script that you have to copy as yourname.cgi and have a .ipl script along with it. Forgot that generic name, though....
