Vaidate session string using CSSDK

Hi All,

I have a requirement where in I need to validate the session string.

Can we validate session string using CSSDK. Is there any function through which we can validate where a particular session string is valid on Teamsite server or not.

//Fetch out session string
System.out.println("session string " + client.getContext().getSessionString());

Print : session string 52616e646f6d495658836ec0005cea2cf871e4171c9a0edbad 62efefcc4543d131b097b4be52a663f2844ff230d0e8eac838 9ab4ae1e3cb4

Is there any function in CSSDK which takes sessionstring as parameter and return true or false.

Any pointers to this would be a great help!!!

Hi Sailesh,

We hava a JSP which will Load in a Portlet [CCSTD] and in Tab [CCPRO]. In JSP , There are certain links , Which point out to External Java apps.

We want to achieve Single Sign on Fucntionality !

User only Needs to login once i.e into Teamsite and should be access external javaapps without login screen again.

In JSP, We are able to fetch out the session string. We are planning to append username and sessionstring in URL and send it to the external app.

In Landing Page of External app, We want to make sure that the user is already looged into Teamsite.

I want to know - Is there any function in CSSDK which takes sessionstring as parameter and return true or false.

Is there any other way of doing it?

As such there is no method in CSSDK which take a session string as parameter and return true/false to validate session.

What I think that u can do is...

--> Fetch out session string
--> TypeCast that session string to an Session Object.
--> And Then Try to Check Session Instance using normal Java Class(i means
to say as we check in our normal Java Applications).

I am not sure for this ,but logically it should work.If not,then try to get Instance of Session using that session string,that will definitely solve your problem.
