How to add dropdown in workflow instantiation screen using workflow modeler?

My env: TS 6.7.2
platform: Linux

I have right now created a basic workflow which has start, end and an external task in between using the workflow modeler.
I have a custom field(text field) in the workflow instantiation screen which allows the user to input the name which is used in the external task script.

Now the requirement is to make that field as a dropdown and populate it from a database table.

I am not sure how to achieve it in workflow modeler?.

Does workflow modeler allow such customizations?

Please comment or give pointers or inputs.

You need to read the WFM manual - specifically looking for sections dealing with customizing the instantiation form.
