Excel Setup and Parse

I always like to preface this with "I'm not a perl programmer, so please go easy on me..."

I'd like to pull data from an Excel spreadsheet. Looking thru ParseExcel.pm (and Const.pm) I have come-up with the following:

LE::Const;

my $Excel = Win32: Smiley Surprised

LE->new('Excel.Application', 'Quit');
my $xl = Win32: Smiley Surprised

LE::Const->Load($Excel);

Is this the way I want to go about doing this in Teamsite?
What I want to do is work with a PT and import the data and parse (and display) as I go along.

I was confused because there is also: Spreadsheet: Smiley Tongue

arseExcel to utilize as well.
If someone has done this before, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks.

In the past I have used Spreadsheet: Smiley Tongue

arseExcel and Spreadsheet::WriteExcel. Its very easy to get data from a spreadsheet using ParseExcel module. That should work pretty well. I have not used Win32: Smiley Surprised

Doing this in a PT is somewhat questionable. I don't know your requirements, you might have a good reason to do that.
