rowcontinue in metadata capture?

Has anybody tried the "rowcontinue" atribute for metadata DCT in 6.7.2 (I guess 6.7.1 SP1 as well)?

I don't seem to be able to make it work. I copied the items from normal DCTs that definitely display as intended in templating DCTs. They do not show properly in metadata DCT.

any ideas? Engineering?
