DCT | How to make dropdown item editable ?

Hi,

I have a requirement in which the end user should either :
- select the values from DCT drop down OR
- edit the existing drop down value

Is there any way in which we can make "drop down" field in DCT ?

Not really - you could hack something together though:

There are some mechanics surrounding the updating of the centralized source of the drop-down list that need to be worked out, and this probably only works well if the labels and values for the drop-down list are the same (no codification).

I usually do something different - have, say a text field and a CGI callout next to it. So this callout will pop-up new window with a drop-down list.

The user can either select the value from the list OR to type in their value in the field. They cannot edit the list, though. You can probably modify a CGI so it will offer you an edit screen as well. Not trivial, but doable, IMO
