HotFolder pick up modified asset?

Will HotFolders pick up changes to a modified asset that is already in the HotFolder?

For example, is there a way to make this scenario work:

1. Add an asset to the HotFolder
2. Asset is added to Destination Location (say MediaBin repository)
3. Modify original asset in HotFolder
4. Asset in Destination Location (MediaBin repository) gets updated with the same changes...
