Change Display Name

Hi Experts,
I am using TS 6.7 in Solaris OS. When log in to the TS application in the top right corner following details are appearing

ABCD,,CMS Master View User CCStd Logout About Help

I wanted to know how to change this display name "ABCD,,CMS Master" to "ABCD" in the application.
We have resently moved from TS 6.5 to 6.7 so bit new to this version. Experts please help.

Isn't it simply showing the display name of the current user logged in? What is ABCD,, CMS Master?

Sorry if my information is misleeding. Actually the user name is shown as something like " user_name,,CMS Master". But I want to change it only to display "user_name". I took this "ABCD" as an example

By default it appears only user name. If there is User name with role then there might be some customization happened.

check the file $IW_HOME/local/config/lib/content_center/customer_src/etc/conf/customer/ui_custom.xml for any customizations to your environment. If you find some, remove them, then swicth to the directory $IW_HOMElocal/config/lib/content_center/customer_src and issue the command:


iwperl $IW_HOME/bin/make_toolkit.ipl

(assuming iwperl is in your path)

EDIT:

It also might be worth checking the "display name" of the user with the command:


iwuseradm display-name [username]

If you are sure that you haven't performed customization for your whole Teamsite application, then you may rebuild your application by
iw-home/iw-perl/bin/iwperl iw-home/install/install_webapps.ipl -i
-f content_center
Please comment out necessary entries in toolkit.xml before executing above CLT.

You (or your sysadmin) needs to modify the /etc/passwd entry for this user. The information is coming directly from the GCOS field in the /etc/passwd file - where apparently someone put the name of the user as "ABCD,,CMS Master"
