Error Installing ControlHub Client

Hi,
We are not able to install Control Hub Client. It gives error as
"DB Connection Checking Failed.Make sure that database Information for event subsystem is working properly before you start with installation."

We checked event subsystem service ,it is running properly. Even the jmsconfignew.xml database entries are correct.

We are using MS SQL 2005 Database and sqljdbc.jar as the driver (size is 253,122 bytes). The driver is located at

\Interwoven\ControlHub\eventsubsystem\lib.

Please let me know what can be done for the same as we cannot complete CAPS 3.0.1 installation without it.

Can you try to submit any file in Teamsite, and check if the event is being captured in the messages table in the ESS.

That means someone edited the workflow template and created a syntactic error in it.

Now you, or the person who edited it, needs to look at the WFT and fix it.

There is a fresh installation of Countrol hub server.
We have not edited any file yet.

This issue has multiple reasons.

1) check whether the directory /tmp/cci have been deleted? If yes, you would have to re-create the cci directory under /tmp. You should also create an empty file called cci-OK under /tmp/cci.

2) Since it is a Windows box , the group “Everyone” should have full control to this directory and the file.

3) Another reason for this error might be because you do not have <%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%> in the system environment. Please check this and add this as the first argument in the PATH variable.

The instllation of Control hub client completed after placing SQLDriver version1.0.
However when i restarted the server ,after login to controlhub i got an exception as
"Parent Branch \iwadmin\main\Controlhub does not exists."

Can you try to login into the control hub with the administrator account and then try to add the user who is an member of the administrator group.

Hi Deepti,

Check if you have the jar file under eventsusbsytem/lib, also do verify the class name 'com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver', if you find the same in the sqljdbc.jar.

I am not sure if the call should be from "com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver"
