Change the behavior of the Edit fields

I would like to know if it's possible to change the behavior of the Edit fields within the Worksite Dialogs.
Usually in the custom fields in that dialog the alias and the description values for each custom is shown, but we are trying not showing the alias value, i. e., only description value is shown.
We’ve tried to change that values using a nrs script (EditProfileDlg_OnInitDialog) but when we change the value, the programs shows a message alerting us that this is not a valid value.
Is it possible to do it??
