hi

we need a new option "x" under File menu

i made changes in ui_custom.xml

as follows and it is in correct directory

and then run make_toolkit.ipl in path as per the pdf

now it is saying BUILD NOT SUCCESSFUL

pls guide regarding this issue ,

teamsite version is 6.7.1 on windows

You'll probably need to post the entire output of make_toolkit.ipl in order for anyone to have a chance at helping you. That will then probably lead to having to look at (either you, or posting it for us) one or more of the configuration files being processed.

Well clearly you know the problem - it's a permissions issue.

Who are you logged into the server as?
You probably need to be Administrator or else you have to fix the permissions on the directories - potentially the entire path - then try again.

What do you mean by "admin only" - were you logged in as the Windows Administrator or as a TeamSite Administrator?

Was the installation done using the Windows Administrator account or some other account with administrative rights granted to it?

i have no idea about about installtion was done ,i just started working on this server ,

You need to be logged in as the Windows Administrator - or someone to whom full access has been granted to all directories under (at least):

If you don't have that access, you either will not be able to build, or install, your customizations - hence the "access is denied" error message.

also,suppose if we put the mouse on original "import" the code is coming from "command/iw.group.import" any pointers on where is this code located

i understand as per PDF that we need to put the our own developed ipl (as per reqs)inside

"httpd/iw-bin/"

directory and our label will pick it from there becasue we have set the url attribute as

"url="bin/x.ipl" />

so if we can get the original code we can modify it as per our needs ,i am not sure if this is the correct appraoch but it seems logical

You do not have [supported] access to the code for the OOTB functionality - you have to write your own from scratch if you want to customize it - search the forums, search google, get some books, and experiment. (have fun)

i searched around and was able to complete the second req as in to validate whether we are inside particular directory ,suppose if we are inside then we need to proceed to that "standard import" window

my confusion is that a JAVA sign appears when i open it normally but i am writing an ipl program ,how to incorporate that window inside my program ,

ny pointers will certainly help a lot ?
